The sightings on board followed a transect from Bahía Blanca 38º 44 'S to Puerto Madryn 42º 46' carried out between March 17 and 23, 2013. The line covered  San Matías Gulf, the  influence of the Peninsula Valdes front and Nuevo Gulf.
